Work began about May 1995 on transcribing some of the Wirksworth
Bishop's Transcripts. This was followed by transcribing the Wirksworth
Registers 1608-1837 and building the results into a database. Results
were published using email to individuals and and GENUKI to the public
at least as early as 11 Apr 1996.
Work on the Register was completed about May 1998.
