This lovely pen and ink drawing shows old buildings still to be seen in central Wirksworth Town. In 1983 Wirksworth was presented with the Europa Nostra Award for architectural conservation, given for "exemplary regeneration of a small country town through a broad programme of self-help and innovative features". The Streets shown radiate outwards from the Church and are: Coldwell Street, Church walk, Greenhill, St Mary's Gate, West End, Market Place, Dale End, St Johns St and The Causeway.
