Wapentakes, Hundreds, Parishes, Towns, Villages, Hamlets, Homesteads, Farms,
Woods, Moors, Rivers and Brooks. Each Placename has the Parish
and Hundred it lies in. The Ordnance Survey reference of each Parish is given.

The author holds the Derbyshire Place-name Index on database,
and searches can be run for part names. If you are confronted
with a Derbyshire placename of which you can only read part,
email the details to the author on  ,
and I will try to track down the full name.
For example, a name containing "dst" and ending in "k" is
tracked down as "Woodstock", and I can give you the location
as well, in this case being "on the 6 inch OS map of Wirksworth
parish". I will also attempt to discover the location of
