The Standard LAYOUT

This compressed format has been chosen to cope with the increased data in records after 1813, to keep baptisms and burials to a single line, and to limit the webspace necessary for the 88,000 records in the Parish Registers 1608-1899

EXPLANATION of the LAYOUT

INDEXING

All entries are indexed in the order:(surname)-(firstname)-(date). Surnames and firstnames include all spelling variants.
Baptisms have a second list indexed in the order: (surname)-(father's firstname)-(mother's firstname)-(date). This applies only to the commonest 95 surnames, and helps find all siblings and estimate parent's marriage year.
