Mike Spencer transcribed these lists of Jurors. Mike writes:
"These names are taken from the Jurors lists. To appear on a jury, the qualification was dependant on property. Men aged between 21 and 70 who
possessed freehold or copyhold land were eligible to serve, at later
dates persons aged between 21 and 60 would be eligible and property
qualifications altered. Jurors lists can be found at County Record Offices.
The Constable was a local man who went about is business ,serving for
a year basically doing his best to keep law and order and collect
the names for the Jurors list. He was unpaid."
