In most cases abbreviations have been expanded without comment to avoid confusion. A new page numbering system is used based on the microfilm frame order. Ince's original page numbers and the DLSL photocopy reference are given in red brackets. The original pages are held at DLSL, are separated, and unfortunately do not possess a coherent numbering system.

Back to MENU Transcribed by John Palmer, Dorset, England The MOOREs of Winster were people of considerable property & were benefactors to the Poor of Winster, Dore & other places where they had estates 1651, 1718 & 1721. -- In 1710 Robert MOORE senior of Winster (probably the 2nd generation) was Bailiff of the High Peak -- The names of the children of Robert MOORE & Hannah his wife 2nd generation taken a draft mortgage from Robert BRIGHT of Wirksworth Gent of his share of Estate at Dore and beyond? by Anthony MOORE's Will of 11 Nov 1721 amongst the 12 children of his 3 sisters In which mortgage? it is recorded? that Joseph BRIGHT eldest brother of Robert BRIGHT had died s.p. & that his share had accrued to Robert. The names &c of Moore BIRDS, Robert BIRDS & Mary COOPER from an abstract of Joseph BRIGHTs title to Estate at Dore which he acquired by purchase from them.
