Wirksworth map 1710

This map is dated 1710 and appears on page 73 of Wirksworth Parish Magazine for 1899. It shows " A Survey of Houses, Barns, Gardens, only within and near the Town of Wirksworth in the County of Derby, The Estate of the Hon Sir Phillip GELL, Bart [drawn by] Samuel HUTCHINSON 1710" The magazine says (in 1899): "The above interesting plan is dated 1710; any information about the Market cross, or the loan of any print or sketch of the same, will be very gladly received". A copy of the magazine is held by Local Studies Library at Matlock, who very kindly scanned and emailed the map to the author, who will have it on line for the 300th anniversary of its drawing.
