Parish Register List

Here are details of "Wirksworth Area" Parish Registers kept at the Derbyshire Record Office at Matlock DBY. Both original Registers and microfilms of the registers are kept at the DRO. Check the Wirksworth Area Map.
The Law requires all non-current parish records over 100 years old to be deposited within the Record Office. Where Registers have been deposited, the covering dates are given. If the space is blank, the registers may still be in the parish concerned. Names of the church and access numbers at DRO are also given.
The information comes from a booklet sold at DRO called "Parish Register List" which contains similar data for the whole of Derbyshire.
